9 Ways to look less corpsey without makeup or jewellery

You aren’t allowed to wear makeup and jewellery to Tae Kwon Do and I’m sure there are many other activities that are the same. I don’t mind going without makeup or jewellery but sometimes I feel flat and boring, especially when wearing a shapeless, white suit and bare feet.

So what can you do, when you want to look a little bit less corpsey

9 Ways to look less corpsey without makeup and jewellery

  1. Focus on your skin. Exfoliate, moisturise and use eye cream.
  2. Get your eyebrows shaped and tinted and ask them to tint your lashes too
  3. Have a mani and pedi. You might not be able to wear coloured polish. But manicured nails with a clear shellac look gorgeous and clean too
  4. Get rid of the frizzy hair. Do a neat braid or updo and spray down any fly-aways
  5. Lip balm with a tint. You’re probably going to be needed a balm anyway in this weather
  6. A light scent. I have a special scent I spritz on. Now, whenever I put it on I feel like I’m ready to fight. I’d better not accidentally put it on before a big night out
  7. Brush your teeth. Clean teeth are the answer to everything
  8. Stay hydrated
  9. Accept that no-one is perfect. Everyone has freckles, wrinkles and under eye bags and if they don’t, well they probably will later in life
  10. Smile! Everyone looks better with a smile

  1. I cheat at the gym with a dabs of concealer, a dusting of bronzer and eye brows…then I kick butt!

    • I’d cheat at the gym too, but the makeup sliding off onto a black singlet didn’t look as bad as it pooling on the white. Eyebrows are the best!

  2. Some great tips ❗️ I defiantly incorporate a few of these pointers while at work (when on a mine site no one wants to see me with a full face of makeup nor do I feel like applying it at 3:45am each morning!) Although I am a sucker for Mascera it’s one of my must haves …… don’t know of I could go without it❗️ My no makeup secret after moisturising is to use Garnier 5second blur face perfector, it’s amazing for evening out skin tone, minimising pores and blurring out fine lines ❗️LOVE IT

good tips here Rachel … you look good anyway!
probably a practical reason … the make up smudges all over the white suits!
my mother used to pinch our cheeks back in the olden days ;omg!
I don’t wear much make up anyway as I like a natural healthy look.
I guess you don’t have to impress anyone at tae kwon do??? … lol m:)

  4. I usually succumb to a BB cream because it doesn’t look like you have make-up on but it gives your skin a flawless touch.

  5. Yep! This is usually me on the weekends cos we are either painting or gardening or doing something DIY-ish. It’s good to give your skin a bit of a breather…but it’s even better to then get glammed up in the evening – even if we are just going to sit on the couch with a bottle of wine!

  6. You could never look corpsey!
