Beauty: Feather Stroke Eyebrow Tattoo

I had been thinking for quite a while about feather stroke eyebrow tattoo. My natural eyebrows are pretty ordinary and completely different from each other. I usually spend a lot of time each day filling them in and evening them up. It’s boring and time consuming. Waxing and tinting is excellent and they always look amazing when I leave the salon but quickly revert back to their ordinary, sparse brows within weeks.

But these were tattoos on my face! I needed to consider it carefully and find the right technician.

I obsessively researched, read reviews and googled ‘bad eyebrow tattoos‘. More evidence not to rush into anything and find the right person.

Feather Stroke Eyebrow Tattoo

Marina Veronica operating from Devine Serenity in Scarborough was highly recommended to me, so I met up with her for a consultation. All my concerns blew away and I knew this chick was the right one. She was highly experience, recommended by clients and had her own before and after photos to show me.

We made an appointment for a month later.

The ‘needle’ is actually a disposable hand held micro blade. It’s a series of small cuts implanted with dye. The technician will use a numbing cream to start with, then use another anaesthetic during the procedure. This isn’t pain free but bearable.

The below photos show the before and after, the after is on day two. I had a slight reaction to the waxing due to sensitive skin, but unlike my brows, this is only temporary.

The questions most people have been asking me…

Marina charges $560 for feather stroke eyebrow tattoo and $495 for powder style. Don’t shop around for price, only shop around for the best technician you can find.

This actual appointment took about 2.5 hours. Marina is a perfectionist

Yes, there was a little pain, and it got worse towards the end. It was bearable and Marina is aware of the discomfort and reapplied the anaesthetic during the procedure.

Appearance after

My brows looked full and slightly red tinged but the redness faded by day 3. You can’t wear makeup and have to let the brows recover. No one really noticed unless they knew already. But I understand my brows are going to go through a few stages and complete healing will take about 4 weeks.

Follow up

I have an appointment in 6 weeks to see how they are settling in, fading, colour and make any adjustments. This is included in the price

I love them!! It’s funny waking up with brows but it’s wonderful not needing to fill them in. My makeup time has halved. I feel like I should have done this years ago.

This is a photo from day two. You can see the red tone

Would you consider eyebrow tattoos? Have you done it?

  1. Danielle says:

oh my gosh they look amazing!! 💜💜💜

  2. I had my brows done with Marina 2 years ago. It was the absolute best thing I have ever done. She is a perfectionist, and was very respectful of what I wanted. I go to the gym at 6am and don’t feel “naked” because I have groomed brows.

  3. What a great job! Your brows are in perfect proportion with your face. I had mine done 18 months ago and it is the best thing I’ve ever done for myself!

  4. Yes, I have tried this in September 2016. I am 66 years old and I have sparse eyebrows. I actually had new hair started coming in. I love it and so far have been very pleased. Even though you have to put medicine on your eyebrows for at least a week and it goes thru some scabbing but I survived.
    You look very beautiful.
