HoMedics Radiance Microdermabrasion Review and Giveaway RRP $249

I’ve had a few professional Microdermabrasion treatments and I have always loved the results. But I have to be realistic and this isn’t something my budget can extend to at the moment. Basically, the only form of Microdermabrasion I could afford was rubbing salt on my face and then holding my Dyson on it. Not ideal!

So you can imagine how quick I was to agree to review the HoMedics Radiance Microdermabrasion. I love their products, I love a little pampering and I love taking care of my skin.

What is Microdermabrasion?

It is a non-chemical and non-surgical procedure to rejuvenate the skin by powerful mechanical exfoliation. It works by removing the uppermost layer of dry, dead skin cells to reveal fresher skin. It encourages production of a new skin cells with higher levels of collagen and elastin, which will improve your skin’s appearance.

HoMedics Radiance Microdermabrasion Review

The diamond tip exfoliates the skin and the gentle vacuum massages and removes the dead cells. There are 5 settings and I’m currently using the gentlest setting to give my skin time to adjust. I’ve been using it on my face, neck, décolletage and the back of my hands. You look red immediately afterwards, but this fades quickly.

It only take a few minutes a couple of times a week to start seeing the results. At only $249 this is a complete bargain!

Now available in Shaver Shop, Myer and all good retailers.

My biggest concern is aging! Late 30s and seriously its like new wrinkles appear overnight!!!! Gahhhh i miss the freshfaced, bright, clean skin thats now replaced with dull, tired old skin..this sounds like a dream!!

  2. My problem is that my budget doesn’t match my wishes xx

  3. My concern is that my budget doesn’t match my wishes and I’d really like everyone to stop telling me I look tired xx

  4. Blythe says:

My two main skin concerns:old acne scars and looking tired!

  5. Rachel says:

This looks and sounds like just what I need!

  6. This looks amazing! Saw your post on Insta and thought I should come and have a look – am over 40 and need a few extra hints and tips here and there 😉

  7. Lea Anita Black says:

My biggest skin concern right now is skin discolouration with age spots.

  8. Selina says:

This looks and sounds brilliant!! Just what my blotchy
& dry “English Rose” complexion needs!

  9. Rebecca Cook says:

Oh I’ve been admiring these from afar! My biggest concern is aging. I’ve just turned 40 and noticing the first little signs appearing and would love to stop them in their tracks. It would also be a fabulous Mothers Day gift – better than the box of chocolates I get every year (I don’t eat chocolate and they know it!)

  10. Could use a pep up for sure

  11. I have dry skin and I’m always exfoliating and moisturising! I could definitely use some help with this! I’m creeping closer to being 40 as well, so always trying to slow down the aging clock!

  12. Natalie saloum says:

My dream remedy for this face of mine. I’m really light skin and these sun spots of mine can really use a zap or two more like a ton lol

  13. I have pcos and my skin always looks dull. I’ve always wanted to try microdermabrasion but have never been able to afford it! I would love to be able to try it in the comfort of my own home

  14. Beryl Hickey says:

My concerns are ageing, pigmentation and budget, who wouldn’t love to try this little baby other winter so they could go bare face in summer, obviously with spf. Good luck everyone.

  15. Right now it’s sun damage and spots that are just so close to taking over my ENTIRE face. Love the look of this!

  16. On the fast down hill slope to 50 my skin is showing signs of aging. Even worse after the last month or so of stress. Car blew up, funeral, Dad and Step Mum broke up after 30 years of marriage, having to find a house and furnish it for Dad in under a week, plus the general running around after a 4 year old… I am looking blargh!
My skin feel tired and dry, and I am breaking out like a teenager! I feel like I need to get my Dad’s sander to it to give it a good clean, so moister can get in.

  17. My biggest current skin concern is keeping the ageing process at bay – easy one right!?
Also giant pores, pigmentation and texture are up there too. I LOVE Microdermabrasion, and lament the days I was fortunate to have it monthly. Sigh, they are long gone.
    This little beauty sounds amazing!

  18. Noelene says:

I have never had microdermabrasion but have the age spots ,pigmentation ,and dead skin to give it a run for its money .

  19. My biggest skin concern would be that it’s okay for now but could start going downhill quickly and I want to be ahead of the game!

  20. Mary Preston says:

My skin is dull. Just dull. That’s sad.

  21. Fiona Carson says:

    Ageing sucks, man!

  22. Gemma W says:

Being a mum is wonderful – but not for my skin! Since having the kids I have pigmentation and dull, tired looking skin. Between work and young kids, there just isn’t enough hours in the day to get to the beauty therapist, other than my annual birthday treat. This would be the perfect at-home treatment to fit into my crazy schedule.

  23. Gemma Hammond says:

What a fab giveaway! My skin is all over the place with ageing, hormonal acne and lack of sleep from babies and breastfeeding. I love a good microdermabrasion facial and always have such glowing skin after. Great blog Rachel!

  24. Katrina humphries says:

Once upon a time my mother told me that by the time I got rid of my pimples, Id have wrinkles😔And she was right! I am in an unpleasant purgatory of hereditary acne and age lines and wrinkles! Could microdermabrasion be the miracle cure I’m seeking? 💖

  25. Sarah Birchmore says:

My biggest skin concern is uneven texture and scarring (from skin cancer removals – wear a hat and sunscreen people!!). I have heard microdermabrasion can help reduce the appearance of scars so would love to try it ❤

  26. Awsome little review. Micros are the best but like you say budgeting them in is a struggle.
A home kit would be amazing!!

  27. lydia Sutakowsky says:

in one word – ageing! I’m grateful to have pretty good skin but with my busy life, I often neglect my own skincare. I’d love to look a little bit ‘fresher’? ‘more fresh’? whatever the word is!

  28. Dry and lifeless skin. I miss having a summer glow.

  29. i want my skin to have the same glow that my kids have :) lol i want to be confident to “show” my face

  30. Tanya Edwards says:

My biggest concern at the moment is my skin seems lifeless… It’s lost it’s glow. I’ve always wanted to give microdermabrasion a go but sadly it’s a luxury and the budget doesn’t stretch quiet that far 😃

  31. This sounds like just what I need. My biggest concern at the moment is that I have suddenly started to get really bad spots like a teenager, I never had them when I was a teen. Plus my skin is grey and dull and pretty dehydrated.

  32. Biggest concern is being (well) over 40 and wishing I could turn back time! Oh the changes I would make to take better care of me, but alas that won’t happen, next best thing is HoMedics Radiance microdermabrasion.

  33. Roma Smith says:

Biggest concern is my skin has changed so much since starting menopause! How awesome would it be to win an HoMedics Radiance Microdermabrasion to help keep my skin in tip top shape :)

  34. Jo Brown says:

I just turned 50 and while I’m reasonably happy with my skin due to sunscreen use in my younger days, I would love to refresh and brighten my complexion. I’ve never had a microdermabrasion and would love to see the results, especially if I don’t have to pay for it. Yes, I’m a bit tight 🙊

  35. I’m definitely a girl who loves glowing skin, but all the harder to achieve as the years march on. I’ve always loved dermabrasion both for the immediate glow factor but also for how well your skin absorbs products afterwards. My budget only allows for this treatment occasionally, so being able to do my own as part of a Sunday pamper session would be bliss.

  36. I have a concern about wearing sunscreen everyday but it wearing off!! No one has invented a sunscreen that doesn’t last longer then 4 hrs!! So my question is – how are we meant to reapply with a face of makeup?! I don’t want premature aging if it can be prevented easily with sun protection!

  37. I love having microdermabrasion on my face – my skin responds really well and I look and feel better for it. Unfortunately the budget is a bit tight at the moment and bring able to do it for myself would be fantastic.

  38. My biggest concern is that i am not able to take good care of my skin. With two kids under 5 i don’t get time to go to a parlour and give my skin much needed pampering.
